8th Grade Bridge Program

CV 8th Grade Bridge Program 2023-2024

The Bridge Program is a dynamite lineup of grouped classes taught by extraordinary teachers at the Resource Center in Modesto on Mondays and Wednesdays each week! The Bridge Program is designed to ensure your student will be ready for the rigor of high school. 

 

Cost: $800.00 per semester will be deducted from the student account to pay for the cost of materials, supplies and instruction for the Bridge Program.

Parent/Student Orientation(Mandatory): Wednesday August 16,2023 @ 8:30am

First day of class:  The first day of class will be Monday, August 14th, 2023

Monday Schedule

8:30 am - 10:00 am: Math 8 -  Beth Cover

10:00 am - 11:00 am: Physical Science - Beth Cover

11:00 am - 12:00 pm: English - Anita Madoski

12:00 pm - 12:30 pm:  Lunch

12:30 pm - 2:30 pm:   History - Anita Madoski

2:30pm - 3:30 pm: Math Support 8 - Mark Ferrante

 

Wednesday Schedule

8:30 am - 10:00 am: Math 8 - Beth Cover

10:00 am - 11:00 am: Physical Science - Beth Cover

11:00 am - 12:00 pm: English - Anita Madoski

12:00 pm - 12:30 pm:  Lunch

12:30 pm - 1:30 pm: Math Support 8 - Mark 

1:30 pm - 2:30 pm: Elective (Selected Wednesdays 8/23, 9/6, 9/20, 10/4, 10/18, 11/1, 11/15, 12/6)

State Testing: Bridge students will complete CAASPP testing at their resource center on the days they attend Bridge during the first week of CAASPP Testing.  Those students needing additional time will test during the second week as well.

 

Curriculum:  

The curriculum that will be used and provided for each student is reserved at each Resource center. Please inform the staff that you are attending the Bridge program and they will give you the materials. If students do not already have a Chromebook to use as an aid for their classes, one will be provided, which needs to be returned when the student drops/exits the class at the end of the year.
