8th Grade Bridge Program

CV 8th Grade Bridge Program 2024-2025

The Bridge Program is a dynamite lineup of grouped classes taught by extraordinary teachers at the Resource Center in Modesto on Mondays and Wednesdays each week! The Bridge Program is designed to ensure your student will be ready for the rigor of high school. 

Cost: $800.00 per semester will be deducted from the student account to pay for the cost of materials, supplies and instruction for the Bridge Program.

First day of class:  The first day of class will be Wednesday, August 14th, 2024

Fall Semester Dates: 8/14-12/11, No class on days: 9/2, 11/11, 11/23, 11/25 

Parent/Student Orientation(Mandatory): Wednesday, August 14th, 2024 @ 8:30am

Monday Schedule

8:30 am - 10:00 am: Math 8 -  Instructor TBD

10:00 am - 11:00 am: Physical Science - Instructor TBD

11:00 am - 12:00 pm: English - Anita Madoski

12:00 pm - 12:30 pm:  Lunch

12:30 pm - 2:30 pm:   History - Anita Madoski

2:30 pm - 3:30 pm: Math Skills 8- Mark Ferrante

 

Wednesday Schedule

1:30 pm - 2:30 pm: Elective (Selected Wednesdays 8/21, 9/4, 9/18, 10/2, 10/16, 10/30, 11/13, 12/4)

State Testing: Testing will be completed in class for Bridge students the first week of CAASPP Testing

Curriculum:  

The curriculum that will be used and provided for each student is reserved at each Resource center. Please inform the staff that you are attending the Bridge program and they will give you the materials. If students do not already have a Chromebook to use as an aid for their classes, one will be provided, which needs to be returned when the student drops/exits the class at the end of the year.
